Former Union minister Birender Singh to quit BJP?
JIND: Former Union minister and BJP leader Birender Singh, who was dropped from the party’s national executive committee in October, will decide his further course of action on January 1, 2022, claimed his close aides on Tuesday.
Several of his supporters held a press conference here in Uchana Kalan town, in which they stated that he would decide his next course of action during a meting soon. Shiv Narayan Sharma, Narender Attri, Ram Cahndra Jangra, Prem Pahalwan and several others at the press conference said after holding a meeting on January 1, they will organise a major program to showcase their strenght on March 25 to mark the birth anniversary of Birender Singh. “All the parties have lost confidence among public, so Birender Singh would be urged to take part in active politics and present his son as CM candidate.”
Birender Singh had switched over to BJP from the Congress ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, and now has been seen unhappy from BJP as well after his son IAS-turned-politician son Brijendra Singh, who is Hisar BJP MP, didn’t get a berth in the Cabinet. Singh had resigned from Rajya Sabha after his son Brijendra became an MP in 2019. Singh’s membership was due to end on August 1, 2022 but he quit.
