Haryana: 16 new cases, 1 death reported in state; Sonipat gets Covid-19 free tag

CHANDIGARH: Sonipat emerged as new Covid free district and Panipat lost its tag while number of Covid free districts remained eight on Wednesday.
At the same time over 1.57 lakh got vaccine jabs and 16 new cases, one death and 11 recoveries were reported in state during the day.
With this the Covid count of the state has gone to 770770 cases, 760629 recoveries, 9809 deaths and 102 active cases. The covid positivity rate of the day was reported 0.6% and cumulative positivity rate was reported to be 6.30%.
Highest five new cases were reported from Gurugram followed by three new cases from Panchkula and two cases from Faridabad and one case each from Nuh, Palwal, Kuruksehtra, Yamunanangar, Ambala and Panipat districts.
On vaccination front, of the total 157509 vaccinations, first dose was given to 99491 persons and second dose was given to 58018 persons. While the cumulative coverage of vaccination was 21638037.
