C-vax to be given at 112 sites today

Gurgaon: The health department has decided to set up 112 government vaccination session sites in the city on Tuesday. Of these, Covishield will be given at 106 sites, Covaxin at five sites and Sputnik V at one site.
A total of 11,930 people in the 18-44 age group got inoculated on Monday. In the 45-plus category, 1,658 people took the shots. As many as four healthcare staff and five frontline workers also received the jabs. In all, 13,606 jabs were administered. On Monday, 6,020 first doses and 7,586 second doses were administered. At present, the district is aggressively administering second doses to the recipients. The plan is to have 80% of doses reserved for the second dose recipients daily in the district with a view to inoculate them at the earliest.
Nine new cases in city
The city witnessed nine fresh cases of Covid-19 on Monday taking the caseload to 1,81,326, of which 54 are active cases. The positivity rate stands as 0.1%. Five people also recovered, increasing the total number of recoveries to 1,80,349. The recovery rate stands at 99.6%. A total of 52 patients are in home isolation.
