Rahul Roy’s sister on him resuming work

Rahul Roy, who was recuperating from the stroke which hit him about nine months ago (November 2020), is now fitter and better. ETimes has it that he shot for a music video earlier this week and spent a full day on the set, without any difficulty. The music video is being made by Azhar Hussain, whom Rahul knows since a few years, says Rahul’s brother-in-law Romeer Sen.
Rahul’s recovery involved tremendous investment of time and effort put in by his sister Priyanka who had found something was not right with Rahul while taking to him over the phone, got him back to Mumbai with the help of Rahul’s relatives, and admitted him to the hospital, and also has nursed him back to health after he was discharged from the second hospital he was admitted in, sometime in January 2021.

Priyanka said that she would have done anything for her brother whom she loves dearly. Priyanka further said that Rahul underwent speech therapy and music therapy both, and has even closed his doors to non-vegetarian food. She added that getting Rahul back on his feet and resuming shooting is the best Raksha Bandhan (which is being celebrated today) gift that she could’ve had this year.
“The day when Rahul faced the cameras again was very big for us. We are thankful to God for putting him back on track. He is much better now, the only thing he is still working on is to form and speak long sentences. That will take some time but he is well on his way to recovery,” Priyanka explained.

“Rahul is getting a lot of offers for promotional campaigns and movies too. God willing, he will be fully back in action,” Romeer added.

“There have been no nights when we were woken up by Rahul in any irritation, simply because I am always awake to attend to him,” Priyanka concluded, but not before Rahul returned to say, “She monitors him closely, keeping a close tab on his pulse rate. She makes healthy satvik food which has kale, broccoli, drumsticks along with fruits which are best for brain recovery.”
