Haryana: Karnal IG Mamta Singh, CID SP Surender Vats to get President’s police medal

CHANDIGARH: Karnal range IG and STF chief Mamta Singh, SP (CID) Surender Vats have been selected for the President’s Police Medal for their distinguished service.
While Mamta Singh and Surender Vats will recieve medals during the state-level functions, 12 other policemen will also receive police medal for their meritorious service during the Republic Day functions held in respective districts.
Mamta Singh has had a long stint with National Human Rights Comission (NHRC) during her central deputation.
“I am thankful to government of India, my superiors and subordinates on this recommendation. All we do is work as a team,” said Mamta Singh.
While Surender Vats had handled various postings in field as well as the police headquarters before joining the CID wing of the Haryana Police.
