By Economic Times – Experts criticise India’s endorsement for use of hydroxychloroquine on Covid-19 patients New Delhi: Some experts have criticised the endorsement by India’s top health research body for use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) on Covid-19 patients and healthcare workers without proper evidence that proves the drug’s ability to reduce the viral load. In the absence of credible evidence, a blanket recommendation for chemoprophylaxis might be contentious, the experts said in an article published online by the Lancet on April 17. ‘83′ rakes in 16 crore at the Box Office

Ranveer Singh starrrer ‘83’ has recorded a good collection on its second day at the box office. The early estimate of Saturday business hints a positive trend. According to Boxoffinceidia.com, the Hindi version of the sports drama collected around 16 crore nett on day two. The film stands at the total of Rs 28 crore nett in two days. It recorded a growth of around 30-35 per cent on Saturday, mostly because of the national holiday of Christmas. ‘83’is performing well in main metro cities but beyond that, it is facing some stiff competition from ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ and ‘Pushpa’ (Hindi). Ayesha Shroff on settlement with Sahil Khan

This afternoon, the Bombay High Court has quashed the two FIRs filed by Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha Shroff in Mumbai against actor Sahil Khan, over allegations of cheating and criminal intimidation- a business dispute in 2015. A bench of Justices SS Shinde and NJ Jamadar quashed the two FIRs which were registered by the Bandra police, after Sahil’s lawyer and Ayesha told the court that they had settled the dispute between them amicably. Talking exclusively to ETimes a few minutes ago, Ayesha said, “It was an out-of-court settlement. But let me tell you I withdrew the cases 5 years ago. It has come to light only now simply because the quashing happened today.
