By Times of India – Heartbroken Ranveer mourns Irrfan’s demise One of the talented actors of Bollywood, Irrfan Khan has passed away today. He was 53. Many celebs took to their respective social media handles to share their heartfelt condolences.

Now, Ranveer Singh took to his Instagram account to mourn the actor’s demise. He posted a throwback picture where both of them seen embracing each other. The actor captioned the post with a broken heart emoji.
Here’s what Ranveer posted on the photo-sharing app:

Irrfan was admitted to Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai after he suffered a colon infection. The 53-year old actor was under doctor’s observation.

After the last rites of the actor were performed, the family of Irrfan released an official statement which read, “Irrfan was buried at the Versova Kabrastan in Mumbai at 3 pm this afternoon soon after the news of his passing away was announced. In presence were his family, close relatives and friends. Everyone paid their final respects and mourned the loss of his passing away. We pray for his peace and we hope he’s in a better place today. He was strong in his fight, and we all have to be strong too in this loss.”

The ‘Angrezi Medium’ actor was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. He is survived by his wife Sutapa and sons – Babil and Ayan.

His last film was Homi Adajania’s ‘Angrezi Medium’. The film starred Radhika Madan, Dimple Kapadia and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
