By Times of India – Janhvi Kapoor mourns the demise of Irrfan Khan Irrfan Khan left for the heavenly abode on Wednesday in Mumbai. The actor passed away after suffering complications due to colon infection. Bollywood celebs took to their respective social media handles to mourn the demise of the actor.

Actress Janhvi Kapoor also expressed her grief on Instagram. Sharing a monochrome picture of Irrfan, the actress wrote a heartfelt caption along with it. It read, “There are no words to sum up what you have given us with your unparalleled work and artistry. There are no words to sum up the loss that all of us feel today. May you rest in peace ❤”

The last rites of the actor were performed at Versova Kabrastan at 3 pm. Irrfan had been admitted to the ICU of a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday.

The 53-year-old actor was diagnosed with a Neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. Irrfan is survived by his wife Sutapa and sons – Babil and Ayan. His last film was Homi Adajania’s ‘Angrezi Medium’.

On the work front, Janhvi will be next seen in a biopic titled ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, ‘RoohiAfza’ with co-starring Rajkummar Rao, Karan Johar’s multi-starrer period drama ‘Takht’ and Colin D’Cunha’s ‘Dostana 2’ with Kartik Aaryan and Lakshya.
