Café Gartino located in Sector 29, Gurgaon opens its doors to the patrons today. A brainchild of T.P. Singh & Kulbeer Singh, Café Gartino promises to change the way restaurants in Gurgaon entertain their guests. Not to be judged by the word “Café” by itself, Café Gartino is not just a Café but also a Lounge & Bar which offers a multifarious cuisines.


Totally designed indigenously, Café Gartino uses interesting (read .. quirky) interiors made of recycled automotive and plumbing items. Don’t be surprised if you sit on a table with an engine block as a stand or when you see bulbs sticking out of plumbing pipes. Spread over two levels it can house 150 people comfortably. The upper level has a typical café type of seating, an outdoor sitting on a covered deck as well as a spacious garden. The lower basement on the other hand is done up like an American diner has diffused lighting and a huge DJ’s console. Lighting is LED powered and can be dimmed or brightened as required though I must admit that in some parts it looks a bit tacky too. The furniture is plush and makes you lazy as you sit in it.


Café Gartino also boasts of the largest outdoor audio-video wall in the capital apart from individual screens on both indoor levels. Get ready to cheer during the upcoming cricket and football seasons. It can’t get better than this.


The menu is multi-cuisine so you will find an array of Grills (the burgers & steaks are very good), Chinese, Indian and Italian. Beyond pasta, fresh thin crust pizzas are being baked in a wood fired over located at the fag end of the garden. We will come up with a detailed food review shortly.
