20 session sites to be set up in Gurugram today

GURUGRAM: The health department has decided to carry out vaccination drives at 20 government session sites on Saturday. While Covishield doses will be given at 13 sites, Covaxin will be given at six and Sputnik V at one. Officials said that for Covaxin and Covishield, only second doses will be administered at the 19 sites.
In all 8,390 people were inoculated on Friday, of whom 6,117 were in the 18-44 age group and 2,081 recipients in the 45-plus category. As many as 104 healthcare staff and 88 frontline workers also received the shots. On Friday, 513 recipients were inoculated at government session sites and 7,877 people at private vaccination centres.
9 new cases in the city
The city reported nine fresh cases of Covid-19 on Friday, taking the caseload to 1,80,835, of which 80 are active cases. The positivity rate stands at 0.1%. No Covid deaths were reported on Friday. Six people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 1,79,836. The recovery rate stands at 99.6%. A total of 69 patients are in home isolation while 11 are in hospitals.
