Madhubala’s niece writes to NZ PM
Madhubala’s 96-year-old sister Kaniz is safe and sound at her daughter Perveez Somjee’s Mumbai home. About two weeks ago, the elderly lady went through a lot of physical trauma after her daughter-in-law in Auckland sent her to Mumbai without any money and food on her. Perveez and her aunt, Madhubala’s younger sister Madhur Bhushan, had then spoken EXCLUSIVELY to ETimes and we had brought you the report pronto.
Kaniz landed in Mumbai and Perveez was told by the airport authorities that her bag had no money for even her RTPCR test. Seeing her daughter, Kaniz felt relieved and one of the first things she told her was that she was immensely hungry.
The latest on Kaniz’s front , we hear, is that Perveez has written a letter to the PM of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, stating what her mother went through. A source tells us that Perveez felt it would only be apt to inform the NZ PM about the whole thing.
Madhur Bhushan had also spoken to ETimes in a video interview about not just this but also the highs and lows of Madhubala’s life. We reproduce that video interview below. Click to see it:

When contacted, Perveez told ETimes, “It is true that I have written a letter to the New Zealand Prime Minister in this regard but I don’t want to elaborate.”
