163 new cases in city, +vity rate 4.5% now

Gurgaon: The city on Wednesday reported 163 new Covid cases. It reported 165 cases on the previous day. The daily positivity rate has also been reduced to 4.5% from 4.6% on Tuesday.
While Gurgaon added 6,728 fresh Covid cases so far this month, it currently has 594 active cases. On Wednesday, 3,570 Covid tests were carried out while on Tuesday, 3,088 tests were conducted.
In April, the city saw 5,894 cases. From April 24, Gurgaon added cases between 350 and 450 on a daily basis but after May 15, less than 200 cases are being reported daily.
Haryana, meanwhile, reported 245 new Covid cases and 266 recoveries on Wednesday. After Gurgaon, Faridabad reported the highest cases at 52, followed by Hisar (8) and Panipat (5).
