Haryana: Man stabbed to death in Ambala, 3 held

AMBALA: Police on Monday arrested three persons, including a woman, for their alleged involvement in the murder of a man in Ambala Cantonment area in Haryana.
The accused have been identified as Gaurav, Radha, and Bhuri, all residents of Ambala Cantonment, who would be produced in the court on Tuesday, said a police officer.
The deceased has been identified as Arjun of Chhappar Band Mohalla.
On the complaint of Arjun’s brother Mohit the police registered a case against Gaurav, Radha, Bhuri and an unidentified person under Section 34 (common intention) and 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Ambala Cantonment police station on Monday.
Mohit told the police that at about 11.30pm on Sunday, his elder brother Arjun came home in a rush and said that he was assaulted by some youths.
“I along with Arjun and my aunt Asha went out near a scrap shop where Gaurav was standing with a knife in his hand, his mother Radha was carrying bricks, Bhuri of Khateek Mandi was also standing there with a stick in his hand and there was one more unidentified person,” said Mohit.
“After seeing us, they attacked us and Gaurav started stabbing Arjun with a knife. When we shouted for help, many people gathered at the spot. However, the accused managed to flee,” said Mohit.
Mohit said that they took Gaurav to civil hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
“Our team arrested all the three named accused in this case and they will be produced in the court on Tuesday. Further investigation is being done,” a police officer said.
