Five booked for cheating in BSF recruitment test

Gurgaon: Five candidates appearing for a constable recruitment test conducted by the Border Security Force (BSF) have been booked for cheating, police said on Monday.
All the five youths were found carrying mobile phones and bluetooth devices to cheat in the exam hall in Bhondsi on Sunday, and one among them was also caught appearing on behalf of another candidate, according to police.
The five were caught by a vigilance team of BSF during a surprise check at one of the three examination centres — RBSM Public School on Damdama Road in Bhondsi — on August 29.
The five have been identified as Jagvinder, Sombir Singh, Navneet Kumar, Nitin Kumar and Pankaj. Their mobile phone and bluetooth devices were confiscated by the BSF vigilance team. Pankaj was appearing in place of Manoj Kumar, police said.
A case was registered at the Bhondsi police station under sections 419 (cheating by impersonation), 420 (cheating) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC on the complaint of the vigilance team of BSF.
“The vigilance team of BSF conducted the surprise raid. Based on its complaint, a case has been registered,” said Gurgaon police spokesperson Subhash Boken.
