Posing as staff of finance firm, 4 cheat man

Gurgaon: A man was allegedly duped by four youths who posed as officials of a finance company. Sunil Kumar, a resident of Faridabad, was passing through Atul Kataria Chowk on his new motorcycle when four youths on two motorbikes gestured him to stop. “They introduced themselves as officials from a finance company and said I have not paid my instalments, as a result of which I should handover my motorcycle to them,” the complainant said.
Following which, Kumar gave his motorcycle on a condition that he will get it back once he pays all the three outstanding instalments. Later, when he called the finance company, they denied any such engagement from their side. Kumar said had bought the bike from a finance company and had not paid the last three instalments so when these men came up with such specifications, he believed them. An FIR was lodged on Wednesday at Sector 17/18 police station.
