Mahesh Manjrekar operated for bladder cancer

Mahesh Manjrekar has undergone a surgery. The actor-filmmaker was diagnosed with urinary bladder cancer a few days back and the doctors suggested that he gets operated.
The procedure was carried out at Mumbai’s H N Reliance Foundation Hospital at Charni Road about 10 days ago, where Manjrekar was admitted for few days.
ETimes further has it that Manjrekar is now back home and feeling fit and fine. The operation in question went off very smoothly. Mahesh sir is on his way to recovery and very comfortably back at his residence.

Mahesh Manjrekar starred in his first film- Jeeva Sakha (Marathi) in 1992 and quickly followed it up with memorable roles in ‘Plan’, ‘Zinda’, ‘Musafir’, Kaante and ‘Dus Kahaniyaan'”. It is a sort of given that he excels in the roles he gets. His performance in ‘Dabangg’ as Sonakshi Sinha’s father, even though brief, is unforgettable.
Manjrekar has also dabbled in singing in ‘Kaante’ and has excelled in direction too- ‘Aai’, ‘Nidaan’, ‘Vaastav’, ‘Viruddh’. Interestingly, he is a good dancer too; he was declared as the 2nd Runner-Up in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ in 2006. In 2018, he hosted the first season of ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’.
