Man, his daughter found dead on rail track in Yamunanagar; GRP suspects suicide

YAMUNANAGAR: A man and his daughter was found dead on a railway track near Kushtha Ashram area of Yamunanagar.
The deceased have been identified as Dilshad (40) of Azad Nagar Colony and his daughter Sahroon (19).
On receiving the information, the government railway police (GRP) from Yamunanagar, Jagadhri police station reached the spot and took the bodies into possession for investigation.
GRP investigation officer assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Baljit Singh said Sahroon was suffering from fever for some days and her father Dilshad had taken her to a private doctor for medicine on Wednesday evening.
“Both did not return home and later in the night, their bodies were found lying on the railway track near Kushtha Ashram. Both were identified from a Dilshad’s wife’s contact number found written on a slip in his purse”, said ASI Baljit.
“Dilshad’s wife was called who suspected that they might have committed suicide. It appears to be a case of suicide as per our investigation as well. We have conducted the proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC. After the post-mortem, the dead bodies of both the deceased were handed over to their family members”, said ASI Baljit.
“Dilshad lived with his daughter and his present wife who had four children had given divorce to his first husband. Then the woman married Dilshad and was living with him in Yamunanagar”, said ASI Baljit.
Sources told that Dilshad could have taken the extreme step due to poor financial condition.
