Kunal Kemmu in ‘Kyunki Saas…’ writer’s next

Kunal Kemmu has signed a new film, which he isn’t telling many of his friends and relatives yet. But ETimes has it that it is a film by Vipul Mehta who was one of the writers of Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and has directed Gujarati films like ‘Chaal Jeevi Laiye’, ‘Best Of Luck Laalu’ and ‘Carry On Kesar’. Vipul has also written many other hit shows, including ‘Sanjivani’.
Kunal and Vipul had a couple of meetings and Kunal loved the role. When contacted, Vipul confirmed that Kunal is on board of his next project but closed up when we asked him about the details of its subject. “We shall make a formal announcement soon.”

Kunal’s leading lady in the film is also being kept as a secret. Vipul claimed that he has narrowed down on two names for now and refused to divulge their identities.

ETimes also has it that the shooting of this film is expected to start sometime in November. The other modalities are fast being worked out, and if all goes well, Vipul is targeting it as a 2022 release.
