“As a result, light to moderate rainfall activities are expected to be witnessed from August 29 at scattered and isolated places in South Haryana. Substantial increase can be witnessed by September 1. There will be no significant change in daytime temperature for the next 48 hours, thereafter, the temperature may drop by 4-5 degrees Celsius with a few good spells of rain,” said Manmohan Singh, director head of IMD Chandigarh.
So far, the city has received 32% excess rainfall (510.7 mm) against the season’s normal of 387.5mm.
