Ambala MLA Aseem Goel receives threat letter, case registered

AMBALA: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Ambala City MLA Aseem Goel has received a threat letter by post at his residence in Prem Nagar in Ambala City on Saturday.
On the complaint of MLA Goel’s advocate, a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at Baldev Nagar police station of Ambala district on Saturday.
In the threatening letter, one Khan threatened MLA Goel that all the Jehadi has joined him in their pursuit, alleging that Goel and his party are trying to enslave and endanger Muslims by culminating their laws and Islam would not tolerate anti-Muslim activities any longer.
“Jehadi would bomb all their targets as per the directions of team Farooq Abdul Dar alias Bitta Karate and Yasin Malik (both Kashmiri separatists) ahead of Jamait-ul-Vida falling on April 28, 2022,” reads the threat letter to MLA Goel.
MLA Goel reported the matter to the police at Baldev Nagar police station.
Baldev Nagar SHO inspector Gourav said, “We have registered a case and the content of the threat letter is being verified along with the person who sent it. The investigation is being done in this case.”
Meanwhile, Ambala superintendent of police (SP) Jashandeep Singh Randhawa in his letter dated April 17, alerted all the SHOs, security agents, ASP, railway SP, all DSPs, CIAs, “to take all preventive and precautionary measures to maintain law and order situation within your jurisdiction. You are directed to take necessary and preventive action. If anything of interest comes to notice, this office be informed promptly. Ensure strict compliance.”
