RGV: North stars are jealous of South stars

Yesterday, a social media battle kicked off between Ajay Devgn and Kiccha Sudeep as both men expressed their honest opinions on Hindi being the national language of India. Things spiralled into controversial territory when Sudeep made the comment, “Someone said that a pan India film (‘KGF: 2’) was made in Kannada. I’d like to make a small correction. Hindi is no more a national language. They (Bollywood) are doing pan-India films today. They are struggling by dubbing in Telugu and Tamil, but it’s (the success) not happening. Today we are making films that are going everywhere.”
Ajay Devgn offered a strong rebuttal on Twitter as he shared, “@KicchaSudeep my brother, According to you if Hindi is not our national language then why do you release your mother tongue movies by dubbing them in Hindi? Hindi was, is and always will be our mother tongue and national language. Jan Gan Man.”

While both stars cleared out their differences and settled amicably on Twitter, Sudeep did push a point when he shared, “And sir @ajaydevgn, I did understand the txt you sent in Hindi. Tats only coz we all have respected, loved and learnt Hindi.
No offense sir, but was wondering what’d the situation be if my response was typed in Kannada.!!

Don’t we too belong to India sir.”

ETimes reached out to Ram Gopal Varma, who has had a prolific career making both Hindi and Telugu films. RGV sided with Sudeep and remarked, “I honestly think Kannada super star Sudeep has driven an incredible point when he said, what if he answers in Kannada to a Hindi tweet from Ajay Devgn, which should force everyone to realise that there’s no North and South and India is just one, which the North based Ajay doesn’t seem to understand and the South based Sudeep seems to, full on.”

RGV took a serious dig at the situation and added, “A Kannada dubbed film is at logger heads with a Hindi original film starring Ajay Devgn and the great Amitabh Bachchan. It is estimated to have a 6 crore opening day compared to a 56 crore opening day of a Kannada dubbed film.”

He also pitted Ajay versus Sudeep as he shared a tweet late night yesterday, that said, “The base undeniable ground truth @KicchaSudeep sir ,is that the north stars are insecure and jealous of the south stars because a Kannada dubbing film #KGF2 had a 50 crore opening day and we all are going to see the coming opening days of Hindi films.” Credit Source – https://ift.tt/S6eou3j
