Retired pilot falls to death from balcony in Gurugram

GURUGRAM: A retired commercial pilot fell to his death by accident from the balcony of his fourth-floor flat in The Laburnum housing society in Sushant Lok-1 on Wednesday.
According to police, Sarabjit Singh Barar (78) was having tea with his wife Jaishree Barar on the balcony of his flat before climbing on the balcony railing to fix a wind chime. He lost control and fell to the ground floor in the presence of his wife, police said.
Sarabjit was immediately taken to a hospital, but the doctors there declared him brought dead.
In its statement to the police, the family has denied any foul play and emphasised it was an accident.
Police have handed over the body to the family after a post-mortem. No case has been registered.
