Gurugram: Miscreants shoot at constable in Daruhera, booked

GURUGRAM: While returning from Gurgaon to Rewari, a police constable was fired at near Daruhera on Monday at 10.30 pm. As per the police, the constable was going home from duty, when miscreants opened fire at him. At the time of the incident, the officer was accompanied by a friend. The bullets struck the constable’s fortuner car.
According to the police, Umed Singh, a native of Narnaul’s Sirohi Restoration village, was driving his Fortuner to his residence in BMG City in Rewari on Monday night with his friend Hiralal. Both had stopped for dinner on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway at the Aravali Hotel. Both of them came out at 10.30pm. A silver-coloured vehicle pulled up alongside the fortuner, where Singh and his friend were seated. However, miscreants got out of the other car and pointed guns at them. Though Singh managed to flee with the car a bullet hit the bumper of the vehicle.
Umed Singh immediately informed the police at 112. A case has been filed at Daruhera police station under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 34 (Common Intention) of the IPC.
“It was a narrow escape for the policeman. We are investigating the CCTV camera to track the accused,” said an officer.
